Remember the Fallen this Memorial Day

“Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it. It flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it.” – Unknown
If you decide to take the time for a moment of silence or spend the whole day reflecting, Memorial Day reminds us that freedom comes at a cost. No mater how busy you are today, set a reminder to go off at 3 p.m. local time so you can take part in the National Moment of Remembrance. This observation, which formally began in the year 2000, calls Americans to voluntarily and informally take a moment of silence at 3 p.m.
Spending time with loved ones is a wonderful and meaningful way to spend your Memorial Day. Here are a few ways this weekend that you can celebrate all those who have lived and died for our country.
Memorial Day Grilling at Harley-Davidson Panama City Beach will be on Monday May 29th from 11 a.m.- 3p.m. This event is free while supplies last.
Panama City Beach Aquatic Center presents: GRAND OPENING 2023! The Salty Pelican Café will introduce their new summer menu including new hot pizza, more sweet treats, and your traditional favorites! ADMISSION IS ONLY $1 PER PERSON!!!
Pirates Island Adventure Golf is celebrating “Putting for Patriots” May 28th and May 29th from 11a.m. – 2p.m. This is an annual charity fundraiser. Play today and a donation will be made to help support our wounded soldiers.
